In Memoriam, Carl Keck
Carl Keck, former Manager and handyman in Timber Valley Park passed away Sept. 27th after fighting cancer for five years. Carl was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota on August 8, 1942. He served in the Navy before moving to Oregon. Carl worked for Roseburg Lumber and operated three assisted-living care homes.
After he retired as Manager of Timber Valley, he was a much-appreciated handyman who many of us fondly remember. Stacy Holmes, a close friend and co-worker for almost 40 years, calls him “a good person who will be very much missed”. The members of Timber Valley send their condolences to Stacy and Carl’s Family. He will be missed.

On Tuesday, August 22nd, nine of us (including the park manager) got together to discuss the electrical situation in the park and to brainstorm the best ways to address it. The problems we have with outages during hot weather, the right equipment to test the circuits to ensure the equipment is functioning properly, and how we can best educate the park members about limiting their usage when necessary are some of the areas discussed. Today was an organizational meeting, and we will be getting together next week with information gathered by individuals so we can create a plan.
