  1. Julianne G. Crane says:

I am against signage of any kind.

  2. Marc Stalnaker says:

Me too. I dislike looking at signs on members lots. Any kind. Including flags or banners.

  3. Joy Buzalsky says:

I am definitely against any political sign because you don’t know how your neighbor leans and could be hurtful to people around you.

  4. Thom Hoch says:

The two folks on Lot #31 are strongly in favor of at least reasonable controls on political signage… at best, no signs at all. We’re visiting the Co-op park in Benson right now, where they’ve had a long-standing rule allowing no signs at all. A much more pleasant and friendly atmosphere.

  5. John/Laura Fye says:

I agree with all no signage

  6. Christie Gardner says:

I agree that it does seem more peaceful and friendly without any kinds of flags.

  7. Nick Palmer says:

    No signs at all

  8. John R Davidowski Lot 57 says:

    No signage on lot 57

  9. Kate Bright says:

I agree with no signage except a person’s name and lot number if they choose.

  10. Cindy Pierce. lot 104 says:

So, those people that are against any signs or flags, does that mean you don’t want to see ANY holiday signs or flags?
Just wondering? It would be like living in a community that we couldn’t express what or how we feel. This is AMERICA. Just saying.
If you ban one than you have to ban ALL. There’s no Grey area.

  11. Mike Hilty says:

And how about the American Flag?

  12. Joanne Webber says:

    Thank you Mike

  13. Helaine Hepworth says:

Wow, a lovely can of worms. Political signs, sure, I would say No signs, no political affiliation displayed. But then what do you do about other signage and displays. Would a simple, red, white, blue, VOTE sign be approved, or a negative, Dont Vote! . No names, no party affiliations. Well, I stirred the pot enough. I will try to make the meeting

  14. Christie Gardner says:

When I posted no signs, banners, flags I just assumed that the American Flag was exempt and no explanation was really needed. I think most of us who commented on this felt the same way too.

  15. John Pierce #104 says:

Well folks, I am sorry for opening this can of worms with my flag, which is not a political flag. Never the less, THIS flag WILL NOT come down until all American flags in this park come down at the same time!!!!!!!! Oh ya, do we not support the POW flags any more? Sad. It seems like the same people that tried to tear this park apart three years ago are at it again. We can all agree to disagree without imposing our beliefs on our neighbors. Lets just all get along. Have a great day!

  16. Anita C. says:

How can you say your flag is not political and how can you compare it to the American flag. You say you will not bring your flag down until all American flags are down. Doesn’t sound very American to me. As for tearing this park apart again maybe it is not the same people.

    • John Pierce #104 says:

What, no last name or lot number? Afraid? I am not afraid and I am very much American. I am not comparing my flag to the American flag, just saying I believe in freedom of speech and what is good for one is good for all. Take down my flag, take down all flags!

  17. Dar Hoch says:

Just for everyone’s information, according to The Freedom to Display the American Flag Act of 2005, it provides that it is illegal for homeowners, condominiums, or co-op associations to enforce any policy that restricts or prevents a member’s right to display the American flag on their residential property. While associations cannot prevent homeowners from displaying the American flag on their properties, they can still implement specific rules regarding the flags, such as when, how, and where an owner is displaying the American flag.

    • Ken Knowles says:

Thanks Right on. Unless you have no feelings for those who fought and died for this country.

  18. Cindy M Pierce lot 104 says:

This wasn’t supposed to be even about FLAGS, it’s suppose to be about the political signs, how and why did it become about the Stars and Stripes?
The workshop is for POLITICAL SIGNS.
Not the flags in the park.
I just don’t understand stand why we all can’t agree to disagree about things. That’s what makes us the GREAT U.S.A.
Please can’t we just stop being snarky to everyone and enjoy our park with the differences that we all bring to this wonderful place?

  19. Anita C says:

Sorry. It was my oversight on lot #. Anyone who knows me will know I’m not afraid. Lot 140

  20. Marc Stalnaker says:

Politics today DIVIDES people. That’s not what Escapee’s or Timber Valley is about.

    • Gwen says:

      Yes, yes, and yes.

I thought this workshop was to decide a time line for when signs can be up on lots and when they come down and how big signs are to be. I have not heard that political signs were not to be allowed at all. How did this become such a huge issue????

This workshop is for the community of Timber Valley to come together to brainstorm ideas.

I agree with Marc Stalnaker. This is not the Escapee way.

      Gwen #93
