Tia and Gema hurried to the meeting place beyond the storage area. Boi, Pika, Tobi and Trig were already there. Tia greeted them as she started the meeting.
“This meeting is to discuss the awakening of the humans here in the park. Mother is very pleased with their progress. Each of you have been a very important part of that progression. Pika you have learned how to channel your abilities into ways that are helpful to humans. More and more the humans are sensing our presence and realizing we are here to help. A couple like the music lady and the story lady are able to see us in their peripheral vision. That is an enormous step forward. The darkness of the pandemic is much lighter now. People’s hearts are opening to the light within and in so doing are reaching out to each other in kindness. This park had been involved in the town and surrounding communities for many years. They collect food, school supplies and Christmas presents for those less fortunate. There is an innate goodness in these people that we have been able to reach and encourage. The light surrounding the park grows stronger and brighter.” Tia spoke earnestly to the group.
“The music lady’s “Joy” song is often being hummed as people work in the garden and in various groups. Music further opens their hearts. In spite of Pika’s prank, the music lady made a final choice for her new song. People are listening and looking within their own lives to find the “sparkles” they once would have overlooked. Laughter passes between them as they share their “sparkles” with friends and neighbors. A new appreciation for life is rippling through the park as these happy times overcome the unpleasant memories. As their mind set changes, their energy becomes contagious to those around them and is spreading to the surrounding areas,” Trig explained.
Tia looked at the elementals who lived and worked with her. They were committed to the task and were making a difference in the plants, animals and people they served.
Boi spoke next. “There have been no incidents of harm being done within the park. The past intrusions from across the creek have stopped. The protective shield is still in place but no one seems to want to breech it. The attitudes of the outsiders have mellowed and they seem to be responding to the park members who serve in their neighborhoods. Many have given up their vandalism and are joining groups who want to help and serve. They are learning to give and not take. It is a wonderful movement that is catching on all across the country. The few people in the park who were causing rifts are now listening to each other and working together.”
Finally quiet little Tobi, with his berry stained fingers, spoke up. “I have seen people picking berries and taking them to neighbors who are physically unable to pick them. The smell of cobblers is in the air as people bake with Mother’s bounty. The community garden has been abundant this season. Many who are unable to purchase fresh vegetables are being gifted from the garden. Some are even preparing dishes to share with others. The “blue man’s” soil that he cultivated for so many years has been shared around the park. Many lots show the results of this soil as people garden to keep his memory alive. I am proud I was able to work with him for so many years. He even started to look a little like a gnome as he got older.” Tobi chuckled at the memory.
Tia looked around the group and was proud of what she saw. The elementals and humans were now a cohesive community. As the meeting came to a close, Tia was thinking of ways to get the story lady to write about what had happened in this very special park.
