Timber Valley residents were saddened to hear of the passing of Linda Zink, formerly of Lot 16 on February 25, 2026.
Linda was born January 17, 1948. She was 78 years old. She met David Arndorfer on a cruise. She said “I picked him out on the first day and picked him up the next day.” They were married March 10, 1992. They spent time together traveling in their RV, volunteering at state parks and national parks. They visited all 49 states and flew to Hawaii.
They moved into Timber Valley on June 13, 2013. Linda was a very active member of the Welcome Committee. She organized an annual ‘Sew-A-Thon’ in the clubhouse. Ladies would bring their sewing machines to make gift items for the Welcome Committee. Linda provided fabric, patterns and pizza for the group. She made sure everyone was introduced and made to feel welcome. She was also the coordinator for the annual Kentucky Derby Day. Participants designed and created hats before the race. Mint Juleps were served and all were ready for the race and to bet on their favorite horse. Linda is remembered as a fun and caring person with the ability to bring people together.
David passed away in April of 2022. Linda left the park in July of 2022 to live in Wauchula, Florida. She is survived by her step-daughter Heidi Arndorfer.
