  1. Mike was a great guy with an amazing taste in old cars. Our very best to Mary.

We were blessed every summer by having Mike and Mary Regan join us. Mike always had a new, old car project and his old cars were often among the best restored. He always brought them to Oakland’s Show ‘n Shine event in May. He and Mary often joined us for Saturday morning coffee and donuts and Mike often had a funny store or a neat observation to share. He was also very good natured about all of Mary’s activities in the Park and one of his best jokes was to give her as a birthday gift a great restored old car (a Studebaker sedan, I believe) with a modern engine and transmission. Mike and Mary attended our Sutherlin Lions Club on a regular basis and he will be sorely missed. I am so happy that Mary will be returning to Timber Valley in the near future.

He was a fine fellow. We loved seeing the beautifully restored cars.

Mike sounds like someone I would have enjoyed knowing. Maybe we’ll get lucky and get to meet Mary when we return to TV later this year for a visit. Being a car guy myself, I’d love to see any pictures of Mike’s cars. Be safe everyone and make room in your heart for joy.
