Spellchekc Sukcs

By Fred Prout

Here it is almost August. I don’t understand how that happened. Did anyone else notice that the earth is spinning faster than ever? Time goes faster. Seems like not that long ago we were planning to retire and see America. We got to see a lot before it changed. Life goes on. You lose people. If you’re very lucky you can find people. But for crying out loud, it’s almost August for crying out loud. HOW???

Speaking of time, the older you get the more stuff you get to remember. The first telephone for example. As a kid, two rings were for us. Everything else was for unidentified people who somehow knew when you picked up their call by mistake.   “HANG UP THE DAMN PHONE ” was enough to scare you for a week.

Missing from the Clubhouse

Submitted by Rockey Shanahan

There were 3 large silver fans in the Clubhouse. We looked for them when we set up for the annual meeting and could only find 1. If anyone knows what happened to the other two, please return them.

Exceptional Volunteer Effort!

Submitted by Marc Stalnaker

Volunteers save us money! The recent installation of the new lighting in the Clubhouse involved a group of our Volunteers that unpacked the new lights, handed them to the hired Electricians, and removed the old ones. Because of this Volunteer effort, the Electricians were able to reduce their bill to TV by $4,000.

You read that right…this group of Volunteers saved the park $4000.

THANK YOU to this group for their effort!
