Thank you is inadequate: for the wonderful roast (I’m still trying to get the burned smell out of my hair.) Yes, Friday afternoon was the long anticipated, and dreaded “roast” for a dearly departed soul. (In case you don’t know what I’m talking about: Friday my “friends” roasted me at Social Hour!)
I was overwhelmed and humbled to see so many (about 40) friends gathered to say farewell to me. I’ve lived in Timber Valley since 2008 so I know most everybody. I had tried to slip away quietly to the haven for “older” folks: Linus Oakes. But some friends (?) wouldn’t let me disappear without a fuss.
I love you one and all and I miss you. But I’ve decided to start this new chapter of my life while I’m healthy enough to enjoy being waited on and pampered! If you want to see my new home and surroundings, I invite you to call and come. There’ll always be a part of my heart labeled “Timber Valley SKP”.
It was a privilege to be a part of Jackie’s roast. I understand her feelings about Timber Valley. I left over five years ago and I never really left. You are all so fortunate to be a part of this wonderful place .
Jackie,
We are so sorry we missed your party, we know it would have been a hoot.
Best of everything to you in your new chapter we will miss you.
I am so sorry to have missed your special celebration, Jackie. You will be missed! It won’t be the same, arriving at TV and not seeing you scurrying around, making sure the park is well cared for and loved. Have a wonderful life of pampering. Hope to see you when we return in the spring.
