Ad Hoc Electric Committee has First Meeting

by Jill Goldman

On Tuesday, August 22nd, nine of us (including the park manager) got together to discuss the electrical situation in the park and to brainstorm the best ways to address it. The problems we have with outages during hot weather, the right equipment to test the circuits to ensure the equipment is functioning properly, and how we can best educate the park members about limiting their usage when necessary are some of the areas discussed. Today was an organizational meeting, and we will be getting together next week with information gathered by individuals so we can create a plan.

Thank you volunteers for tackling a most needed solution to this problem. Kudos.

I respectfully suggest when you come up with a plan or solution, you provide that information in the members mailboxs at the Office. I’ve spoken to a number of member’s who do NOT read the Timber Valley Log OR this website. But everyone gets mail and bills 😉

Thank you for your feedback. Our intention is to keep the members aware of what we are doing. For many reasons, this will take time to complete as we have many volunteers with electrical background and are considering different options before we begin testing. Due to seasonal limitations, some of this testing will not happen until next summer. Once we have sufficient information, it will be distributed through the park mail.

Why don’t you hold a meeting to inform all just what is wrong. So we get the facts not just rummerors. Maybe at social hour, or a special meeting. We get to ask questions and there might be an input that might be of help.
