In Memoriam, Christine Utz

Timber Valley’s flag dipped to half-mast for the passing of resident, Christine Utz on February 21, 2022.

Christine and her husband, George, moved into Timber Valley on May 21, 2016, their wedding
anniversary. They considered moving into the park their wedding anniversary present.

Christine was born in Sacramento, California on Sept 29, 1949. She and George were married May of
1988 and they were married for 33 years. Christine worked in mortgage and finance and George
worked in sales. For 4 years before moving to Sutherlin they were managers at Camp Sherman, an RV
park and motel on the Deschutes River.

Christine took part in many activities here in the park. She was a very active member of the Welcome Committee and Sunshine Committee. She loved painting and took classes with Ken Knowles. She participated in Sit and Sew and made lovely baskets. She was also a member of the Cooking Group and helped on the Landscape Committee. Friends say she will be “dearly missed”.

Christine is survived by two sons, Michael Setnik and Troy Utz of San Diego, California. Her sons are closing out her RV and are putting out free items on her lot, # 55, for any who wish a remembrance of Christine.

Jim & I met Christine & George at the Park yard sale on the golf course shortly after they moved here. What a fun couple! Choosing a memento from Christine’s final yard sale was special to me. Rest in Peace together, Christine & George.
