Sutherlin Chamber of Commerce 1st Citizens Celebration

1st Citizens Selection: Several ballot boxes placed in several places in the community received hundreds of nominations, the most ever!! Not only were the numbers impressive, but the final tallies have made selection the most difficult. We can only vote once for each category.

Now, we have a ballot box and ballots in the Clubhouse for you to choose the most deserving man and woman of the year, business, outstanding service, and inspirational leader. Fill out your ballot, sign it, add your phone number, and place it in the box. Boxes will be collected on April 14th.

Winners will be announced at the annual 1st Citizen Banquet, which will be held at the Melrose Winery on June 7th at 5 p.m. The cost has not been announced yet, but it will be around $45.

Any questions can come my way. sharonell456@gmail.com

Help Wanted – Join Us at the Jacks and Jills Meeting Monday March 17 @ 1pm

Do you look forward to some of our annual events and activities like the Thanksgiving or Christmas dinners, Timber Valley days, Halloween parties or any of the other fun times? Then I have some sad news. We need more volunteers to help with the planning, organizing and set-up/clean-up of these activities or we won’t be able to gather to have fun times.

Jacks and Jills needs your help. We meet every month on the third Monday in the Dining Room. Who are Jacks and Jills you ask? Everyone that is a resident of Timber Valley is a member of Jacks and Jills.

Squirrel Droppings: Dog-eared Pages

By Fred Prout

A good friend recently made a very important life change. Twelve miles as the crow flies. A quantum leap to a totally different life style. As an introduction to her new environs she wrote a piece about turning a new page in her life. That got me thinking. Every day we turn a new page in our lives. Without a second thought we go about making hundreds of tiny changes. We turn left or right. Eat this or eat that. Read a book or watch the news. Coffee or tea. Beer or wine. Continue reading

Mr. Gobble Hunt for March

March 2025

Start looking on March 17th

I am ready for the Escapees of Timber Valley SKP Park to start searching for me.

REMEMBER, I WILL NOT BE ON ANYONE’S LOT. I will be hiding inside or outside the Clubhouse, Mailroom, or Snoopy’s Meadow. (Snoopy’s only in the Spring, Summer, and Fall Season)

When you find me, bring me to, Suzi Rupert, Lot 200.

You will get your photo taken with me and get your finder’s reward, a $15.00 gift certificate to Dairy Queen. Your photo will be published in the TV Log/Website.

I look forward to meeting you!!!

A Reminder to all Timber Valley Members and Renters

In the past, we’ve experienced unidentified people wandering through the Park at night. We’d like to remind all members to make sure your vehicles, RVs, and stored trailers are adequately locked and secured at all times.

While we do live in a very safe environment, our little community tucked into the hills of the Umpqua Valley should be vigilant and take common-sense precautions to keep it that way.
