Social Hour Friday, April 4 at 3 pm in the Clubhouse

SMART Reading is a program in which volunteers read to one child at a time to ensure they become literate. Knowing how to read matters! Without the ability, kids are least likely to graduate high school, find employment, or successfully avoid hardships like poverty, homelessness, hunger, and other injustices.
Kristi Dellsite and Della Harp will be our speakers from SMART. I have been told that the need for future prisons is based on children who cannot read by the age of six.
One of our activities is providing books and other materials for children. Come and learn how important it is that we continue to do so.
