Our Park Emergency Alert System
We use a texting service called RainedOut as the Timber Valley Alert System. See the instructions on the Members Only Page for how to sign up. It's easy, and it keeps members "in the know" when situations call for urgently informing members of something. Be among the first to know when something urgent happens that affects our members.

About Us
The Timber Valley SKP RV Park is a 206 unit 55+ RV Co-op affiliated with the Escapees RV Club. Each member of the co-op holds a lifetime lease on a large RV lot. Emergency Response
Timber Valley emergency preparation is terrific. During the recent hot days, notices went out via Rainedout to let our residents know that the Clubhouse was available as a cooling center. Hummingbird Lane is a great street to live on. We care for each other, and here is an example of what I am referring to. During the 107 temperature, our Block Captain, Rachael Smithey, and Co-Captain, Dar Hoch, went to each site to see if the resident was okay and if anything was needed. They made sure everyone had the alert on their phone to receive alerts.

Update to Rules and Regulations – Watering of Grass Lawns on Member Lots
At the August 17, 2023 Open Board Meeting, the Board of Directors passed a motion to insert this paragraph into the Rules and Regulations.
Lot Maintenance:
4. Due to the increased cost of water and sewer absorbed from the City of Sutherlin, watering of grass lawns on Member Lots is prohibited. Other plants may be hand-watered as needed, but a hose may never be left running unattended.
Everyone’s understanding and cooperation is greatly appreciated!
Ad Hoc Electric Committee has First Meeting
by Jill Goldman
On Tuesday, August 22nd, nine of us (including the park manager) got together to discuss the electrical situation in the park and to brainstorm the best ways to address it. The problems we have with outages during hot weather, the right equipment to test the circuits to ensure the equipment is functioning properly, and how we can best educate the park members about limiting their usage when necessary are some of the areas discussed. Today was an organizational meeting, and we will be getting together next week with information gathered by individuals so we can create a plan.

John E. Budovec Memorial
John E. Budovec formerly of Lot #123 was born June 16, 1939 in Chicago. He was
married to Suzanne Taricco Budovec on March 9, 1963. He retired early at the age of
52 to travel throughout North America. John and Suzanne moved into Timber Valley
Park December 29,1999.They hung up the keys to their 1999 Safari in 2020 and placed
a destination 41 foot trailer on “our special corner lot overlooking the Clubhouse”. John
enjoyed working with the landscape committee when he was in the park. They are
responsible for the beautiful park brochure that is handed out to all visitors and renters.
They regretfully relinquished their lot in 2020 after John had a disabilitating stroke. John
passed on August 5,2023 in Upland, CA from a quick bout with pancreatic cancer. John
was “One of the good ones” and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
