We are privileged to have Terry Prestianni, Sutherlin, Superintendent of Schools, and possibly a member of the School Board, on Friday as our speaker. Terry has invited JR Guthrie to accompany him to tell us about our school system, including the number of schools in the district and the level of students that attend.
The speakers will give an overview of the responsibility of the District and School Board and review programs that prepare students for either entering the trades or attending college after graduation.
This is an opportunity to learn of an ad hoc group of teachers, businesses, and other representative citizens working with an architect to advise and assist in designing changes necessary to increase safety and make necessary changes for expansion.
Members may not have children in our school; however, supporting the next generation is vital.
