Sign up in Clubhouse for 2nd Annual Blood Drive on July 2

Time for Timber Valley’s 2nd Annual Red Cross Blood Drive on Thursday, July 2, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in the large Meeting Room of the Clubhouse.

As with last year, each donor must sign up for a specific time. Look for the sign-up sheet on the sign-up table in the Clubhouse dinning room.

The American Red Cross currently has an urgent need for blood donors of all blood types. During this uncertain time, the Red Cross encourages healthy, eligible individuals to give blood to help replenish the blood supply. This is the time to take care of one another, and blood donation is essential to ensuring the health of those in our community.

    I received a card from Red Cross and our location was listed as a place to donate along with several other location. Is this open to the public?

    “There are no data or evidence that this coronavirus can be transmissible by blood transfusion, and there have been no reported cases worldwide of transmissions for any respiratory virus including this coronavirus,” according to

    Here are a few of the Red Cross Donation Safety Protocols the day of the event.
    The Red Cross will be screening all potential donors.
    – There will be temperature checks before donors enter the blood drive or donation center.
    – Red Cross staff will conduct donor mini-physicals to ensure donors are healthy and well on day of donation.
    – There will be enhanced sterilization in collection area.
    – Everyone will follow social distancing practices between donors; including donor beds, as well as waiting and refreshment areas.
    – Staff will wear basic face masks.
    – For the safety of the donor community and in accordance with CDC guidelines, all donors are required to wear a face covering or mask. Please bring a face covering or mask to your donation. If you do not have one, a mask will be provided to you.
