NOTICE: Electric Power to the Park will be off between the hours of 7:30am and 4:00pm on Wednesday, August 15th. The entire Park will be without electricity including the clubhouse, office, laundry room, and propane filling station. Generators will be allowed as long as you use common sense: Make sure the generator and it’s exhaust is well away from any dry grass, foliage, trees, bushes, etc. Keep the generator on your slab, paver patio, or gravel lot and well away from any plant material.
Reason for the outage: Pacific Power is replacing a power pole on State Street. This pole is part of the system that feeds our Park.
It’s expected to be warm again that day, so it might be best to get away. Maybe a day of shopping and restauranting, a trip to the coast, or take in a double-matinee at the theater. It’s what many did in the old days before A/C. In addition, if you have elderly or disabled neighbors it might be a good idea to check with them and see if they have plans to stay cool.
