Free Community Emergency Response Training

The Timber Valley Board has officially formed an Emergency Preparedness Committee to begin developing an Emergency Preparedness Plan for the Park.  This would include identifying risks and mitigation strategies; listing resources; establishing coordination within the Park; and coordinating with the City of Sutherlin’s Plan. Interested park members will be able to sign up for the committee at the Annual Meeting in July.

Before the Annual Meeting, however, there is an amazing opportunity to receive emergency response training being offered locally by the City. (The information is attached below.)

If you are interested in attending this free four-Saturday course beginning July 14. (Yes, it is a commitment … but you will gain extremely valuable information and skills.)

Contact Dennis Riggs, Emergency Manager for the City of Sutherlin, at (541) 459-1394 … or email him at: [email protected]
