Super Bowl Tail Gate Party, football pool — Sun., Feb. 4

2018 NFL Super Bowl Pool Rules

The football pool poster is mounted in the Clubhouse dining room on door near the piano.

Each square sells for $1.
Players may purchase as many squares as they like. They must be paid for before 3 p.m. on game day, Sunday, Feb. 4. Someone will be collecting money at the Tailgate Party.
Select a square and write write your name and space number in any open square.
Every square must be sold for the pool to guarantee a winner.

How numbers on poll grid will be determined:
The numbers 0 through 9 will be written on pieces of paper and will be drawn one at a time on game day. As each number is drawn, it will be written down in consecutive squares starting on the top row going from left to right.

Once all the numbers have been drawn, they are put back in the hat and the numbers drawn again, this time filling in the left column beginning at the top and working down until all numbers have been drawn.

At the end of each quarter, match the last digit of each team’s score with the corresponding number on the grid. For example: if the score was 10 to 3, you would use the numbers 0 and 3 on your grid. The player’s name in the square that intersects both numbers is the winner of that quarter.

How pool is distributed:
When each of the first three quarters is over, the winner of each quarter receives $20. The winner of the final and fourth quarter receives $40. You do not have to be present to win.

Overtime is an extension of the fourth quarter and the score at the end of overtime is used to determine the winner of the final score. It’s possible for one player to win more than one quarter and get a larger share of the pot. Each win is a share of the pot.
