January 2018 special events at Timber Valley

All Timber Valley members and visitors are invited to all activities in the park.

New Year’s Day – 1/1/18, maybe watch the Rose Parade on Big Screen TV.
About 9 a.m. we will start packing up Christmas tree and clubhouse holiday decorations. Stop by and start the new year with lending a hand, sharing a cup of coffee with neighbors.

Winter Seminar # 3 – Friday, 1/5, 3 p.m. free  – ‘What’s Happening in the City of Sutherlin.’ Debbie Hamilton, Sutherlin’s Community Relations Director. Learn about downtown street project and the new Starbucks. Friendship Hour, bring potluck snacks to share with friends, visitors.

Potluck Dinner, Mon. 1/8, 5:30 p.m. – Hosts George & Trudy Reel (#113). Dinning Room in Clubhouse.  Bring your own table service. No sign-up required, just show up with a dish.

Winter Seminar # 4 – Sat., 1/13, 1 p.m.
– ‘How to Play American Mahjong’ with Valerie Knowles (#156).

Valerie has been playing American Mahjong for about three years and is hoping to start a group of players at Timber Valley RV Park.  Stop by and see if this is a new game you might enjoy.

Timber Valley Cooking Group Park-wide Dinner, Thurs. 1/18, 4 p.m. $5
– Chicken Picata, Rice Pilaf, Veggies & Roll. Bring your own tableware. Sign-up sheet –  Coordinators: Terry and Mike Hilty (#71).

National Pie Day – 1/23, Tues., 5 p.m.
Come on Pie Day, and buy a slice or two. Only $1 a slice. Any leftover pies will be auctioned off.  No sign-up sheet for pies, just bring them before 5 p.m.

Winter Seminar # 5 – Sat., 1/27, 1 p.m. 
‘ How to make ‘Quilted Hearts’ with Sally Hunt
 $5 donation for supplies, no sewing involved. Limit: 12, look for sign-up sheet.
